The College has been a busy place over the holiday break as our ICT and Grounds and Maintenance Staff have worked furiously to enhance the learning environment for our students and staff. However, it is the students who breathe life and laughter in to the College and it is good to have them back!
We were thrilled with our 2018 WACE results and are enormously proud of all our 2018 Leavers and their accomplishments. It has been exciting and rewarding to hear about their plans for 2019 and beyond. Please see the Principal’s List Recipients (based on an ATAR of 95+) for 2018.

The 2019 school year has begun very well. Already this year we have:
Over the break the Anglesey Centre Open Area was refurbished. It is now air conditioned, has a large retractable AV screen and colourful break out furniture and will be a fabulous place for our students.
We will be introducing trousers to the winter uniform as an option for the girls in Years 4 to 12 to wear. Discussions are currently underway between our Uniform Shop Manager and suppliers to find a style that will align well with our existing uniform style and standards.
We are looking forward to hosting Tuesday Coffee and Chat mornings each month to enhance communication between the College and parents. The idea is that parents can call in after drop off on a Tuesday morning once a month for a chance to mingle with other parents and hear from College staff on a chosen topic for that session. These sessions will be held in the Llew Woodford Function Centre North and we are in the process of installing our coffee machine to provide barista-made coffees at these occasions. Details to follow shortly.
We are very excited that our Head of Drama, Mr David Ballantyne has been able to secure the rights to perform the musical Matilda, for our production in 2019.
Thank you to those parents who have volunteered to take on the role of Parent Representative for their daughter’s year group. We are still seeking Parent Reps for Years 2 and 9. If you would like to be involved, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line: Parent Year Rep Interest.
It is always good to start the year on an uplifting note. Please take the time to view this wonderful mini-movie of our young students from the ELC who demonstrated great kindness in our community recently. Using the Solution Fluency model, the Pre-Primary students began with defining a problem they wanted to address in their community through acts of empathy and kindness. A huge thank you to Annie Gichuru for producing the film and to Amber Chrystal and Jocelyn Field for coordinating ‘The Kindness Project’ with Rowethorpe Aged Care Village in Bentley.
I wish you all a happy, productive and rewarding year ahead. Please enjoy the latest news from around the College.
