Congratulations to the following students for their outstanding results at the recent Little Athletics State Championships:

Courtney Shelby 1500m walk: 3rd

Hayley Jones: 1500m: 2nd

Notably, Hayley Jones set a 14 second PB in her 1500 metre race – wow!

Abby takes off... again!

Abby Parker (Year 11) is filling her passport and the family’s trophy cabinet in record time! Last year Abby brought home an incredible five gold and one silver medal when she represented Australia at the International Athletics Championships in Singapore. In April she’s off to Sydney to represent WA at the National Athletics Championships. Congratulations to Abby for all her achievements on the field, and for her continued commitment to her studies. Go Abby!

Australian Figure Skater — Audrey Shan and Ashlyn Baron

We are so proud of Audrey Shan (Yr 7) and Ashlyn Baron (Yr 8) for again being selected to represent WA at the Australian Figure Skating Championships — this time in the next division (Advanced Novice). The girls’ dedication to their team and their intensive training schedule is truly inspiring, and we wish them every success at the Championships.

2019 Camp Hero Maddie Amos

Madeline Amos (Year 12) is off to Nanga Bush Camp, one of the 40 Western Australians selected to participate in the 2019 Camp Hero organised by Zero2Hero.

The Camp Hero program unleashes the heroes of today to become the leaders of tomorrow by educating, equipping and empowering young people to promote good mental health in their communities. Maddie hopes to return a fully-equipped mental health ambassador with new initiatives and ideas to implement. Mental health is such an important component of our society. Maddie, congratulations.
